This year’s Summer Camp is just around the corner! We will be going to Latham Springs on June 15-19. Chris Dowd will be back as our speaker, and worship will be led by the James Curlin Band. We will also have illusionist Jared Hall coming in for an awesome Late Night event, as well as a lot of other fun stuff. Camp is a always a blast, so grab a registration form and sign up!

Middle School Mission Trip

This year, our Middle School students will be taking a trip to Minneapolis, MN to work with various church plants on July 8-15. We are partnering with an organization called PowerPlant to impact unreached, and unchurched people in Minneapolis. High School Mission Trip

This Summer, High School Students will be returning to Charlottesville, VA to partner with Kyle Hoover and Charlottesville Community Church on July 13-20. Students will be engaged in a variety of community outreach that will challenge their walk with the Lord.

Middle School Girls Retreat

Middle School Girls are having their very own retreat this March 23-24. Girls will have worship sessions led by Melissa Presley, who has over 15 years experience working with students. There will be some great girls-only activities including Ice Skating at Arctic Wolf. Cost is $25 which includes all activities, food, materials, and a t shirt. The Jerusalem Project

This Spring Break, we will be hosting a local mission project called ‘The Jerusalem Project.’ After looking at the command given in Acts 1:8, our students will be serving B/CS through a variety of service projects, evangelism opportunities, and more. This project will be a great experience for students who want to be more involved in serving our community but do not know where to start. Make sure to check out the calendar for a schedule of training dates.

Meredith has been involved at Central since her freshman year in college and is currently a junior education major at Texas A&M. She is involved in a Christian sorority on campus where she serves as the prayer committee head. She enjoys country music and adores dancing. She loves being outside, no matter the weather, and enjoys getting to know others’ hearts for ministry. Along with her heart for service in ministry, she has a future goal to work with women rescued from human trafficking and teach their children math and English.

DiscipleNOW 2012!

DiscipleNOW 2012 is right around the corner and sign ups are already taking place. The dates for this year’s DNOW is January 13-15 and we will have Taco Romero speaking and Joshua Nelson leading us in worship as we discuss the different relationships that students face. The cost is $40 which includes meals, lodging, worship materials, a night at GrandStation, and more.

Howdy, I’m Austin Hawkins, and I’m a freshman at Blinn College. I enjoy pretty much all sports, however, soccer is and will always be my number one sport. I’m also a big fan of the 1-1-Six Clique; they are a group of rappers glorifying God through music. Their music is great, but their message is greater. In 8th grade I felt a call on my life to go into full-time ministry, specifically youth ministry. I love working with students and I have a passion to see them grow in their faith. It’s my prayer that God will use me to impact the lives of the students here at Central.

Beach Retreat

This year, both MS and HS students are going to the BEACH! Our High School students will be going to Surfside on Oct 8-10 and our Middle School students will be going to Galveston on Oct 8-9.

Wednesday Night Live

WNL is a brand new program designed to give Middle School students an opportunity to worship with each other. Each week, we’ll have live music, great discussions, engaging videos, and maybe even a game or two! We meet from 6:06-7:06 in room A209 upstairs in the youth wing.
